Dr. Popescu is the author of numerous publications on the topic, including EU foreign policy and post-Soviet conflicts: stealth intervention (Routledge, 2011). His lecture covered a wide range of issues affecting the EU and its relations with eastern neighbours, such as European security, trade, energy relations and post-Soviet secessionist conflicts; he highlighted the successes and failures of EU’s foreign policy making in the region.
Dr. Nicu Popescu is a senior research fellow and head of the European Council on Foreign Relations’ programme on Russia and Wider Europe.
