Two lab members – postdoc Amanda Martin and MSc student Andrew Moraga – gave talks at the most recent meeting of the Canadian Society for Ecology and Evolution in Victoria BC.
Amanda’s talk was on her research showing that more dispersive species can be at *greater* risk than sedentary species from landscape change.
Andrew showed that ‘guestimating’ the appropriate spatial extent of the landscape a priori is pretty much impossible.
Fascinating landscape ecology research revealed!
