Congratulations to Dr. Evelyn Maeder who was awarded the American Psychology and Law Society’s Early Career Psychologist Grant for her research project entitled “Attitudes toward the Not Criminally Responsible on Account of Mental Disorder Defence in Canada: Effects of Gender and Focused Education”. The project will investigate the attitudes of Canadians toward the Not Criminally Responsible on Account of Mental Disorder (NCRMD) defense, and how these attitudes may be influenced by education about the defense.  In addition, the effects of these attitudes and mock juror gender on decision-making in mock NCRMD cases will be examined. Congratulations Evelyn!
