Rebecca is currently a Ph.D. student in Psychology at Carleton University. She received her B.A. (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University in 2007, and her M.A. in Psychology from Carleton University in 2009. Her research interests include: the validity, reliability, and utility of psychologically-based police investigative techniques (e.g., behavioural crime linkage analysis); using theory and research to inform police training and recruitment strategies; factors that influence police decision-making in various settings (e.g., investigations, critical incidents, etc.). Her Ph.D. dissertation is entitled “Using Classification Trees to Link Serial Crimes.”
