Heidi is delighted to be an inaugural Free Range scholar. Heidi is a PhD candidate with Charles Darwin University, and is exploring emerging rural health research and education enterprises in non-campus rural settings, in places like South Australia, Sweden and Canada. She is interested in if and what such ventures may contribute to the experience of small rural communities, the participants of the ventures, and the international research networks they connect with. And, whether other rural places considering starting their own ventures may be able to benefit from the existing enterprises.
