Amanda completed her B.A in Psychology at McGill University and her B.A in Criminology at Carleton University.

She is currently working on her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Shelley Brown. Amanda is also currently working full time in the Mental Health Branch at Correctional Services Canada.

Research: Through her work at Correctional Services Canada, Amanda became involved in various projects related to the delivery of mental health services for federally incarcerated individuals. Her current focus will be on evaluating a mental health intervention for incarcerated individuals with moderate mental health needs and their effectiveness is reducing various adverse outcomes related to mental health symptoms, self-injury and suicide, and institutional misconduct.

Future Goals: Amanda hopes to continue learning and working on diverse projects related to mental health and incarcerated individuals.
