Thomas Bradbury

Thomas Bradbury earned his BA in psychobiology from Hamilton College in 1981, an MA in social psychology from Wake Forest University in 1983, and a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois in 1990. He uses observational and longitudinal methods to explain how relationships develop and change, and he has conducted randomized controlled experiments to examine why couples do and do not respond to interventions intended to improve their relationships. Bradbury has been a faculty member in the UCLA Department of Psychology since 1990, where he is currently a Distinguished Professor.
