Melinda is entering her third year in the Health Sciences program with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. Her research is aimed at understanding the effects of various stimulants and media conditions on the metabolic profiles of bone marrow derived mouse macrophages in their association with the inflammatory response. She is interested in using advanced bioinformatics analysis, such as heatmaps and genetic networks, to identify select bioenergetic pathways and validate these findings in the lab.
