Harry SharmaCarleton University is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Harry Sharma as Manager of the Canada-India Centre for Excellence in Science, Technology, Trade and Policy effective November 16, 2015.

Mr. Sharma holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an M. Eng in Engineering Management. His career to date has concentrated on research and policy analysis related to Canadian and international innovation ecosystems. Mr. Sharma was Senior Researcher for the Global Advantage Consulting Group where he was responsible for delivering on innovation-related projects and mapping national innovation systems, including that of India. More recently, was a Policy Analyst at CANARIE, a leader in the design and delivery of digital infrastructure. His most recent position was as CANARIE’s Manager of Strategic Policy.

In his new role, Harry will coordinate research, outreach, collaboration and community engagement initiatives designed to benefit both Canada and India. Harry’s unique combination of educational credentials and work experience, familiarity with the research and funding landscape for Canada-India collaborations, fluency in English, French and Hindi and knowledge of the Indo-Canadian diaspora make him an exciting choice to lead Carleton’s Canada-India Centre to new levels of success.
