On Friday, February 3rd, the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism and the Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE) hosted a symposium, entitled Shifting Frames: Urbanization, Slums, and Cities of the Future. The symposium brought together stakeholders from the communities, non-for-profits, government officials, and the academic researchers. The event was open to the public and included an afternoon of film screenings and talks.

The Azrieli school hosted a discussion panel on the topic of slum resettlement and urbanization, with a focus on Delhi. Panelists included Nicolas Reeves, Lorena Zarate, Puran Bhat, and Harry Sharma. The panel discussion was followed by a reception and film screening hosted by the Canada-India Centre for Excellence. The documentary My Gypsy Colony was presented by the film producer Martine Palmer and by Puran Bhat of the Kathputli colony.
