Co-founder, DataWind and Chief Executive Officer & President
Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli co-founded DataWind Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President.
As a student he started working in his brother Raja Tuli’s entrepreneurial firm, Widecom, where he was able to get large size fax machines recorded in Guinness book of world records, thereby boosting sales of the company and starting a huge success story.
Mr. Tuli has held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Corporate Secretary at Widecom Group Inc., since September 1993. He served as Marketing Manager of Widecom Group Inc. from June 1990 to August 1993. Mr. Tuli has been a Director of DataWind Inc., since December 19, 2006. He served as a Director of Widecom Group Inc., since October 1992.
In September 2012, Forbes magazine named Mr. Tuli among the “Impact 15” list of education innovators. He also received numerous other prestigious awards for his work as Chief Executive Officer of Datawind Net Access. Prior to co-founding the Company, he founded a manufacturing company of large-format scanning and plotting equipment and portable imaging peripherals where he was principally responsible for sales, marketing, support and manufacturing operations.Mr. Tuli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto in April 1990.
In 2012, Mr. Singh received a technology achievement award from the Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
Chief Khalsa Dewan honoured him at the 65th and 66th World Sikh educational conference in 2014 and 2016 consecutively and in 2012 he was recognised as Enterpreuner of the Year at World Sikh awards.
