Mr. Surjit Babra is a serial Entrepreneur. Within three decades in Canada, he has partnered and built several stellar performing companies. Two of them, SkyLink Aviation and SkyLink Travel Group were sold in their peak years in 2011 and 2008 respectively to US private equity funds.

Currently, he and his partners have SkyLink Express domestic small cargo aviation, with a fleet of 22 aircrafts in Canada and a food manufacturing business – Highbury Canco. Highbury Canco purchased the Heinz Leamington plant in Ontario. The company started with 250 employees, and today they have over 550 employees.

Other past SkyLink businesses included Master franchise rights for Dollar Rent A Car, airport security, operations, software development.

Mr. Babra is a recipient of many awards, including  Mother Teresa Humanitarian of the Year Award,  B’nai Brith Canada’s “Award of Merit”, Gulland Excellence Award,  Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Transformation Enterprise Award, “World Travel Mart” Award in the UK. “Navigator Award ” and much more.

Mr. Babra is well known for his philanthropic activities and helps children through his “SkyLink Children’s Charity”.  He has been profiled in many papers, magazines and books.
