Weyam is a Memorial University graduate (B.A. (Hons.); M.Sc.) and is currently working with the government of Newfoundland & Labrador as a Policy, Planning, and Research Analyst. She received numerous awards during her time at Memorial University, including the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador Legal Research Award and the Mitacs Globalink Research Award. The Mitacs award provided Weyam the opportunity to travel and study at Lancaster University.
