Jim Crowther

Jim Crowther is a veteran immigration professional with decades of experience. A University of Victoria graduate, Jim joined the Federal Immigration Service in the 1970s and transitioned to the foreign service in 1981, serving in visa offices across Asia, the Caribbean, the U.S., and the Middle East. He has held both decision-making and management roles, including leadership positions at Immigration headquarters, Foreign Affairs Canada, and the Canada Border Services Agency. During the 1999 Kosovar resettlement (Operation Parasol), Jim was the Sustainment Site Manager at Base Borden. Since retiring, he has continued to work with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on temporary contracts in Canada and abroad.
