Shqiponjat e Vogla

Dancers

Shqiponjat e Vogla (Little Eagles) was created in 2011 under the direction of choreographer Ramazan Kellezi in Toronto. Since its inception, this group has represented the Albanian community in Toronto at many events in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Their participation in various festivals organized by Albanians, as well as other communities, has been broad and successful. Notably, in 2022, the group took part in the International Folklore Festival in Istanbul, Turkey, where they successfully performed and were awarded the festival medal.

This group played a significant role in the process of declaring November as Albanian Heritage Month in Ontario, with their presence in the Ontario Parliament and their performances of dances from all Albanian regions.

Additionally, the group performed the Tropoja dance at the Air Canada Centre in front of 20,000 spectators, alongside the national icon Liljana Cingu.
