Stéphane Larue

Stéphane Larue began his career with the Department of External Affairs in 1989, serving in several key international postings, including Hong Kong (1989-1992), Guatemala City (1992-1994), London (1994-1998), São Paulo (2001-2004), and Manila (2004-2006). In Ottawa, Mr. Larue held positions in various government ministries, most notably at Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Privy Council Office. In 1999, he was sent to Albania as part of the CIC team processing Kosovar refugees there. From 2013 to October 2019, Mr. Larue served as Consul General in São Paulo, Brazil. He retired from the Canadian Foreign Service in January 2020 and currently serves as President of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, based in Montreal.
