Kellis completed his master’s project on wave energy prior to beginning his PhD at the University of Alabama. His interests are in computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer, with an emphasis on code development and validation. He received his PhD in 2022 and his dissertation described the first ever solid state additive manufacturing simulations using the finite volume method. He now works as a Staff Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
