Roohany received his bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from Bangladesh and joined the ACE Lab at University of Alabama in fall 2016 as a PhD student. He has been actively researching various renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies until his graduation in 2023. His PhD dissertation involved improving aquaculture and wastewater aeration efficiency using micro-bubble technology in a system-wide approach. He was also a member of the Alabama Industrial Assessment Center where he participated in energy audits for manufacturers in the greater Alabama area to help improve efficiency. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Michigan State University. In his free time, he loves to watch sports, play soccer and spend time with family and friends.
