Why Did You Want to Become a Mentor?
I decided to become a peer mentor at Carleton University because I wanted to give back to the community that helped shape my academic journey. I remember the challenges and uncertainties I faced when I first started, and having a mentor made a significant difference in my experience. By becoming a mentor, I hope to provide guidance, support, and a listening ear to incoming students, ensuring they feel welcomed and confident in navigating their new environment. It’s also an opportunity for me to develop my leadership and communication skills, which I believe will be of great benefit to me in the nearest future.
Fun Fact About You?
I’m a polyglot and currently fluent in three(3) languages; English, French and Dutch.
