Jean-Marc Mangin is President of Philanthropic Foundations Canada (PFC), a national network of family, independent and corporate grantmakers in Canada that includes many of the largest private charitable foundations in the country. Prior to PFC, Jean-Marc led a renewal process of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, the largest national organization of Canadian researchers and scholars as its Executive Director from 2010-2016.
For more than 15 years prior to that, Jean-Marc served with the United Nations, non-governmental organizations and the Canadian government in responding to humanitarian disasters around the world. In 2006, Jean-Marc became the Executive Director of CUSO and led a merger with VSO-Canada. He was the first Executive Director of the Global Call for Climate Action, a cross-sector civil-society initiative, bringing together over 350 international organizations and networks in support of transformational change and rapid action to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
Jean-Marc has lived for nearly 10 years in Asia and Africa. Born in Manitoba, raised in Quebec, educated in BC and Ontario, he holds an M.A. in Political Sciences and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.

Président de Fondations Philanthropiques Canada (FPC), Jean-Marc Mangin est leader d’un réseau pancanadien de fondations familiales, indépendantes, et corporatives, qui sont parmi les plus grandes fondations au pays. Ce réseau est maintenant l’une des plus importantes dans le secteur de la philanthropie institutionnelle. Avant FPC en tant que son directeur général de 2010 à 2016, Jean-Marc Mangin a dirigé un processus de renouvellement de la Fédération des sciences humaines, la plus grande organisation nationale de chercheurs et d’académiques canadiens.
Pendant plus de 15 ans, M. Mangin a servi auprès des Nations Unies, des ONG et du gouvernement canadien à répondre aux catastrophes humanitaires à travers le monde. En 2006, M. M. Mangin a vécu près de 10 ans en Asie et en Afrique. Né au Manitoba, élevé au Québec, formé en Colombie-Britannique et en Ontario, Jean-Marc Mangin est titulaire d’un M.A. en sciences politiques et études environnementales de l’Université de Toronto.
