Katelyn JamesKatelyn is passionate about community development, organizational leadership and envisioning structures that best serve the mission and values of an organization. She’s worked in the nonprofit sector for 12 years and has been involved in the founding and development of several grassroots organizations. Currently, Katelyn works as Operations Director at One City Peterborough, a nonprofit serving people experiencing homelessness and criminalization.

Katelyn believes strong and innovative nonprofits are essential to meeting growing needs and providing leadership in our communities. She was drawn to the MPNL program to deepen her understanding of nonprofit operations and governance, to be challenged to embrace change, and to contribute to the development of the nonprofit sector in Canada.

When not immersed in nonprofit work, she enjoys playing with her two lively boys and exploring the beauty of the Kawarthas, Ontario, where she lives with her family.
