Jen GardenJen Garden has been in the nonprofit sector since 2010 professionally, but has been fundraising and volunteering nearly all her life with her parents, ingraining the meaning of community and being in the service of others at a young age. She’s currently the Chapter Director for Make-A- Wish Canada, Northern Alberta, and has been with the organization for more than eight years.

Jen graduated from Augustana University with a BA in Drama in 2007, then from MacEwan University with a certificate in Arts & Cultural Management in 2010. An internship with Theatre Calgary introduced her to the world of professional fund development, where she discovered her love for donor relations and fundraising. After her husband was posted to the military base in Edmonton, she started her work with Make-A-Wish.

Jen lives in Edmonton with her husband and two daughters. She wants to show her kids how to make the world a better place and that learning is a life-long experience, much like her own parents taught her.

In 2024, Jen Garden received the Simone Joyaux Memorial Award.
