Mab Coates-Davies is a museum professional raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Toronto. Mab has a degree in Public History from Concordia University and is passionate about storytelling and creating meaningful experiences for museum communities. As the Senior Manager of Visitor Engagement and Operations at the Textile Museum of Canada, they oversee multiple revenue streams, manage a large volunteer team and drive operational improvements, surrounded by a team of talented textile artists and museum enthusiasts.

Mab is an avid swimmer and frequenter of art exhibitions and dive bars. They love dissecting reality television with friends, exploring different Toronto neighbourhoods and cuddling with their cat, Groucho.

Mab is excited to enter the MPNL program to better understand the roots and possibilities of philanthropy and to expand engagement with the broader nonprofit sector. With collaboration at the heart of all their work, Mab can’t wait to work with fellow students with varied lived experiences and passions.
