Tessa Hebb is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the School of Public Policy & Administration and past Director of the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation, at Carleton University. She’s also an Adjunct Professor at SPPA, co-teaching a course in Social Finance and Impact Investment. She received her Doctorate from the University of Oxford and has a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University. Hebb is a frequent coach and guest speaker on impact investment, responsible investment, and impact-measurement issues and has published many books and articles on the topics, including The Routledge Handbook of Responsible Investment; Socially Responsible Investment in the 21st Century: Does it Make a Difference for Society?; No Small Change: Pension Fund Corporate Engagement; and The Next Generation of Responsible Investing.
Kristina Inrig is President and CEO of the Sustainable Capacity Foundation, which works to build capacity among small nonprofit organizations in the environmental sector. She’s also a graduate of the MPNL program. She recently joined the Board of Directors of Environment Funders Canada (formerly Canadian Environmental Grantmakers Network, or CEGN), which is a national network of foundations and organizations that support efforts to transition toward a more sustainable world, and she volunteers for other foundations, such as the Investment committee and impact investment team at the Laidlaw Foundation.
Richard Maitland joined Sarasin & Partners, in the UK, in 1992, and was appointed Head of Charities in 2003, and became Senior Partner in 2023 — and remains focused on client management and developing new business opportunities. He specializes in strategy and the management of diversified, multi-asset portfolios. He’s author of the Sarasin & Partners Compendium of Investment, which has been published for 20 years, and is Director of the £2.5bn Sarasin Charity Authorised Investment Funds. Maitland has lectured at The Judge (Cambridge), University of Vienna and University of Stellenbosch business schools. He’s Chairman of the Investments Advisory Committee of St Paul’s Cathedral.
