Amanda Bell (she/her) lives on an acreage outside of Edmonton, Alberta. She’s the Interim Executive Director of the Fort Saskatchewan Nourishment Centre, where she previously served as President of the Board.
Over the past decade, Amanda has honed her skills in fund development, event planning, management, communications, and program design and evaluation. She’s worked with a variety of organizations, most recently developing a fund development department, from the ground up, for a $7 million charity.
As a CFRE, Amanda is deeply committed to understanding, practising, and sharing fund-development best practices. She’s passionate about human-centred causes, with a particular focus on combating food insecurity. Her leadership extends beyond her professional role; she’s served on multiple boards, and thrives on finding small ways to effect significant changes.
Currently completing her MBA in Community Economic Development, Amanda is inspired by a belief that no education is wasted, driving her continuous learning and collaboration. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, gardening, and spending quality time with her husband and golden retriever. As she looks forward to the MPNL program, Amanda is eager to share with and learn from her new colleagues.
