I am a researcher at the University of Eastern Finland, where I completed my PhD under the supervision of Assistant Professor Eng Kuan Moo. My main research focus was the characterization of cartilage content and structural organization in rat models of osteoarthritis to understand the effect of joint trauma and obesity on the progression of the disease. Additionally, we improved some of the characterization methods by applying machine learning image segmentation to histological imaging data used in the cartilage analysis.
Currently I am working as a resident physicist at the Wellbeing Area of Southern Karelia in Lappeenranta, Finland. My main focus is radiation therapy in cancer treatment clinic of Southern Karelia Central Hospital.
In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
