I just graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences and am currently working as a summer research assistant, preparing to start a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering in September 2024. I am interested in developing a better understanding of biomechanics and technological advancements in the medical field. My current project involves studying the impact of different high-sugar diets on muscle integrity in a diet-induced obesity mouse model. In this role, I dissect mouse muscles, extract proteins, and analyze them for fibrosis, fat infiltration, and contractile protein content. In my spare time, I love to be active through weightlifting, running, and ringette!
