Ashlyn completed her master’s in psychology at Carleton University. Ashlyn’s research interests include children’s engagement with education, parent-school relationships, and gender disparities in educational engagement and attainment. Her Master’s thesis investigated disparities in parents’ sense of competency and school involvement depending on gender and ADHD diagnoses and aimed to figure out the reasons why children are choosing to skip school. A fun fact about Ashlyn is that she is a dual Canadian-Maltese citizen!
