Sheldon Levy

Sheldon Levy is a higher education leader and visionary with a passion for innovation, entrepreneurship and the digital economy. An instrumental figure in the recent growth of Toronto’s innovation ecosystem, Sheldon’s roles have included President and Vice Chancellor of Ryerson University (2005-15), Ontario Deputy Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development (2015-17), CEO of NEXT Canada (2017-18), and founder of the Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship. In December 2018, Sheldon was appointed Special Advisor to Canada’s Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion.
