The campaign is split into three subdivisions; Internal, External, and Communications.
We are always looking for new volunteers so if you are interested in getting involved please don’t hesitate to reach out! Our contact information can be found under Contact as well as forms to fill out to get in contact with each specific team. Read below for descriptions about our three subdivisions and the executive members responsible for each one.
The Internal Team organizes bi-weekly education nights, training nights, and social nights for members of Stigma Ends at CU. Members of the SEACU team are encouraged to participate in these events to help strengthen communication and relationships amongst the team. Team training includes training for allyship, peer support, suicide prevention, and safe talk training. Social nights for the Stigma Ends at CU team are aimed towards strengthening the relationships between team members, and include game nights, education nights, or coffee nights.
Our Communications team is responsible for a large portion of the communication with our audience and the management of our entire social media presence. We currently have Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages set up for the campaign. Our social media platforms are used to educate and provide resources to our followers, and to promote external events such as webinars, trainings, and symposiums. We interact with our audience through interactive stories, posts, polls, and giveaways throughout the year. We also regularly post and repost resources that are available to students at the university, in the city, and provincially.
Our External team is responsible for curating and facilitating events that involve the campaign and the greater community. This includes educational webinars and symposiums throughout the year as well as fundraising initiatives for other community organizations.
