We conduct research
TPIC conducts research on topics of compelling interest to Canada and to the Centre’s constituents. Our projects range in scope and duration from about six to 24 months. See the Reports tab for specific examples.
We train the next generation
TPIC educates graduate students and delivers professional development courses.
- Graduate students receive academic credit towards their Master’s or PhD degree with graduate courses in Canadian Transportation Policy and Aviation Policy. TPIC staff can also supervise graduate students’ theses as external committee members.
- Air Transport professionals receive development training through the Professional Certificate in Air Transportation Principles and Policy offered in partnership with the International Air Transport Association. Alternatively, professional can separately take the courses (Fundamentals of the Air Transport System and Public Policy and Regulation for Civil Aviation), which TPIC delivers in this certificate.
We consult
We consult on subjects of a smaller magnitude and shorter duration than research projects, and includes work on client-specific subjects.
