Kit Chokly (they/he) is a white trans PhD student living in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal, the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka and a long-time meeting place of First Nations people. They hold a BComs and MA from Carleton University in Communication Studies. His current research, which takes place at McGill University, examines the overlaps of trans and media theory to explore non-representational trans media. Kit has a background in illustration and graphic design, and is always looking for opportunities to integrate these skills into both academic and community spaces.
