Student Bio

Simon Longtin-Martel is a Master of Applied Science Aerospace Engineering Candidate at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS). His thesis research is on the application of morphing wing technology in flight simulators within the ÉTS LARCASE laboratory.

Simon has a passion for aviation. He graduated from the École Nationale d’Aérotechnique (ÉNA) in aircraft maintenance. At ÉNA, he participated in the SAE Aerodesign competition, coming in third place for his technical report, and he was a member of the Flight Simulator Student Club. Simon also was the president of the ÉNA’s Aerodesign team when they won the Force Avenir (science and technical application) prize. Simon had two four-month internships with CAE as a CAD designer and a four-month internship with P&W Canada in the customer engineering department, as well as a two-month internship for Tristar Multicopters. He is hardworking, dedicated, and can be relied upon.

His hobbies include flight simulation and cycling.
