I can’t see my course on cuLearn. What should I do?

All courses on cuLearn are hidden (by default) until an instructor is ready to release the course to students. If you cannot see your course on cuLearn, your instructor has not revealed the course yet. Keep checking from time to time to see if your course is available. You can also consult with the Instructor as to whether they will be using cuLearn and check that you have properly enrolled in this course. If you are still unable to see your course please contact Information Technology Services (ITS) at 613-520-3700 or via email.

How do I access past courses?

Access to cuLearn courses is controlled by the instructors who develop and teach them. Your course may close or be permanently removed from cuLearn when it ends so it is your responsibility to have saved all content by the time the course closes. If you need access to a past course, you will need to contact the instructor to make arrangements to gain access to the content.

Where do I go for cuLearn help?

Students requiring assistance with cuLearn should contact the ITS service desk ext. 3700 or its.service.desk@carleton.ca.

Where can I find cuLearn emails?

Any time there is an issue with your email account you should contact the ITS service desk ext. 3700 or its.service.desk@carleton.ca.

Emails sent using cuLearn should appear in your official Carleton inbox. The mail tool in cuLearn allows you to send emails to your instructor, TAs or other members of your class.
NOTE:  cuLearn Mail is for sending emails ONLY; you will not receive any emails through this tool.

The most frequent reason for not receiving emails is often because your inbox is full and will not accept any additional emails. In this case you must delete old messages to make space. Some students who have previously been employees may also have a Cunet account which has been known to cause problems with cuLearn mail.

I can’t see my grades. How can I access them?

When you cannot access your Grades (or a particular grade item) the instructor has most likely hidden the gradebook or hidden a particular grade item. Please contact the course instructor if you are having difficulty accessing your grades.

My internet browser froze during a quiz. What should I do?

When completing an online Quiz, technological issues may arise; if this happens, contact your instructor or TA immediately.
