Alexander R. Schock
PhD Candidate
Degrees: | M.A.Sc (2020), B.Eng (2017), Carleton University |
Alex defended his M.A.Sc thesis, titled “Development of a Planar Shipboard Skid-equipped Rotary-wing Aircraft Manoeuvring and Securing Simulation,” on Sept 28th, 2020 and received a unanimous Senate medal recommendation.
As well, my CSME paper “Simulation of Shipboard Operations for Skid-equipped Rotary-wing Aircraft” [2] has been published through UPEI.
He is currently pursuing a PhD with the goal of developing a fully-spatial version of the simulation package developed during his M.A.Sc.
Current research project
Spatial simulation for the securing and maneuvering of skid-equipped rotary-wing aircraft in shipboard operations
Past area of study/research/interest
Mechanical Engineering, Flight simulators, Rapid prototyping
