Introduction and Research Interests

I recently joined Dr. Hakami’s research group as a Research Assistant after having received my Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from Carleton University. I previously worked at Environment and Climate Change Canada, and I aided with administering the vehicle and engine emissions regulatory compliance programs.

My research will be focused on air quality modelling and model development. More specifically, is it possible to use full-scale chemical transport models (CTMs) to improve the validity and robustness of surrogate models. The use of CTMs can be prohibitive for policy makers in the development of air quality improvement strategies at different scales. Source receptor relationships are simplified models that can mimic the behaviour of full-scale CTMs. My thesis will be focused on using results from the Community Multiscale Air Quality model to extend the current capabilities of the source receptor surrogate model.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing hockey, exercising, and reading science fiction novels.
