May 7 – 8, 2025

Carleton University, Ottawa

On May 7 – 8, 2025, the 2025 CanCH4 Symposium brought together leading experts, policy makers and analysts, technology providers, industry stakeholders, and academic researchers within the methane space. A key highlight of the symposium was the shared commitment to advance science, policy, and action to reduce methane emissions.

With support from Natural Resources Canada and Environment & Climate Change Canada, this national, cross-sectoral, annual event is a part of coordinated national effort to streamline methane research activities in Canada, share latest information across jurisdictions and sectors, encourage collaborations on measurement studies, analytics, and technology innovation; facilitate open discussions on current data and implications, and accelerate the emissions reduction pathways.

The CanCH4 event series provide a platform for experts from academia, government, and the private sector to share latest methane research, technological development, measurement data, and analytics.  The technical program and speaker lined up, diligently curated by a dedicated technical scientific committee based on an open call for abstracts, features insightful talks, poster presentations, and engaging panel discussions from leading experts in the field.
