Rohit Gaikwad is currently a MASc student at Carleton University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and researcher for CEnter for SElf Replication (CESER). He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune university. His current research focuses on solar power systems for 3D printing on lunar surface using In Situ Resource Utilization. He has keen interest in autonomous systems, satellite station keeping, self-replicating machines and machine learning algorithms like data analysis, optimized product design, and engineering simulations
