In CESER, we are working on a project to develop self-replicating machines which provide us a shortcut in establishing infrastructure on the moon and other planets. Self-replicating machines using 3D printing technology would be capable of extracting and processing native materials from the Moon or Mars to manufacture and assemble individual components. In CESER, we have 3D-printed electric motors which can be potentially leveraged from extraterrestrial material that should be available in every planetary system.
