Biography
Paul Mkandawire teaches global human rights and social justice in the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies. He also teaches in the Institute of African Studies and holds cross-appointment in the Department of Health Sciences. He is Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies. His research combines perspectives from epidemiology, economics and medical geography to explore questions about global/public health and human rights, geographic spread of infectious diseases, current and historical responses to pandemic outbreaks, as well as science, politics and global health policy.
