President Benoit-Antoine Bacon announced the appointment of Yaprak Baltacıoğlu, C.M., as Carleton University’s 12th chancellor on December 4, 2018.

Chancellor Baltacıoğlu was officially installed in 2019.

On Dec. 2, 2020, Carleton University’s Board of Governors announced that Chancellor Baltacioğlu had been reappointed for a second term.
