Biography

Mina Cohn has trained at the Melton Centre of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in teaching Hebrew as a second language.  She has been teaching Hebrew as a second language to adults for over 20 years.  She has developed educational programs and curriculums for teaching Hebrew for the Canadian Armed Forces Language School in Ottawa and The Foreign Language Institute of Ottawa where she also acted as a Pedagogical Advisor.  She is a sessional professor at St Paul University in Ottawa where she teaches Biblical Hebrew as well as introductory courses in archaeology of the Holy Land. As an archaeologist by training she has participated in numerous excavations in Israel.  As a member of the Bethsaida excavation project she organized university students’ summer credits.  She is a member of the Shoah Committee of Ottawa and the planning committee of the Ottawa Chapter of the Canadian Friend of Hebrew University.
