Andrew is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Cyber Security practice. Andrew has over 12 years of experience in the federal government, primarily in nuclear security (cyber and physical), threat analysis and IT/OT convergence of security and other mission-critical systems. He provides a variety of strategy and governance advisory services to both public and private sector clients.

 Andrew also has extensive experience in designing and evaluating full-scale and table-top exercises (TTX). This includes leading teams through multidisciplinary exercises to test incident response procedures and policies, as well as ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood.

 Prior to joining KPMG, Andrew worked as a Senior Advisor within Natural Resources Canada developing security policy with regards to potential future deployment of small modular reactors in Canada, including cyber security considerations for both on and off-site operation.

 Andrew has over 10 years of experience working for the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission as a security advisor and team leader, where he was responsible for ensuring security at Canada’s high-security nuclear facilities were maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices. This included focused inspections of both cyber and physical security systems, as well as performance testing of equipment, personnel and procedures.

 Additionally, he has made significant contributions on behalf of Canada to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as a past member of the Nuclear Security Guidance Committee (NSGC), an instructor for various international physical protection training courses, and a key contributor to internationally-recognized nuclear cyber security guidance under the Agency’s Nuclear Security Series.
