Our Colloquia on January 14th will be a talk by Dr. Laura Sabourin on her research surrounding the heterogeneity of bilingual experience. Studying bilingual or second language processing is a complex undertaking requiring consideration of multiple variables at multiple levels and innovative experimental techniques.

Bio:
Dr. Laura Sabourin
is a Full Professor in the Linguistics Department at the U. of Ottawa and the Director of the ERP Linguistics Lab. She specializes in the psycholinguistics of second language processing with a focus on the bilingual mental lexicon, the bilingual grammar system and executive functioning skills. In her current research she investigates the roles that age of immersion and manner of acquisition play in second language use and processing.
