Dr. Bruno Emond’s research is in computational modelling on issues related to knowledge representation, natural language, logic, artificial intelligence and broadband e-learning. Two of several software applications that he has developed over the years are a WordNet module for the ACT-R cognitive architecture, and cognitive models for controlling avatars in close-quarter battle simulations.
His current research focuses on cognitive modeling technology applied to serious gaming and simulations and he is currently the research lead on the Multimodal INteractive Trainer (MINT) at NRC-IIT.
