Matthew Rutledge-Taylor

Matthew Rutledge-Taylor is the Technical Research Lead at Cogniva Information Solutions. Matthew earned undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Cognitive Science from Carleton University in 2002 and 2010, respectively. His dissertation described a model of human memory, based on holographic reduced representations. He spend two years as a post-doctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where he worked on an IARPA project, before joining Cogniva in 2012. While a doctoral candidate, Matthew worked for the CISTI (National Research Council), where he researched recommender systems.

At Cogniva, Matthew is responsible for developing text analytics tools, such as a document autoclassification system that integrates with ISIS. He also researches technologies for assisting in the creation of ISIS models. Matthew’s research interests include: text analytics, machine learning, and cognitive modeling. Matthew maintains both research relationships with both private industry and in academia
