In order to do a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science students are expected to complete:
- 3.5 credits of coursework, including methodology rotations.
- 6.5 credit thesis which includes a prospectus defense
- More on program requirements
- Cognitive Science courses that we offer * please note that all classes may not be offered in the same calendar year*.
- Public class schedule.
- D. Students are expected to complete the course requirements outlined below, by the term number that is indicated below.
- Students are expected to complete their coursework by the end of the 2nd year, including the Pro-Seminar and Theory and Methods.
- Students are expected to complete their methodology rotations by the end of their 7th term
- Students are expected to defend their prospectus by the end of their 9th term
- Students are expected to defend their thesis before the end of their 15 term
- All students are expected to attend weekly colloquiums within the Institute.
- All Ph.D. Students are expected to present yearly, a poster or presentation at the Cognitive Science Spring Conference.
We remind students to check their audits every term.
We also remind students that it is their responsibility to complete the milestones on time as this is an indication that students are moving well through their program.
