Fortunately, Computing and Communication Services (CCS) makes frequent backups to all cuLearn courses, at least once per day.  If you experience any outages or losses of information, CCS can be contacted for an archived backup.  However, if you would like to make a backup for extra assurance, you can certainly do so:

  1. From the Settings block, click Backup.
  2. Select Back Up Course.
  3. In the backup initial settings page, choose the items of your course that you want to backup, then click Next.
  4. Select the course contents that you want to be included in the backup. Then click Next.
  5. In the review page:
    • cuLearn will assign a generic file name for the backup file. You can assign a file name for the backup file or keep the generic one.
    • Review the settings for the backup file and the course contents to be included in the backup, then Click Perform backup.
  6. When culearn shows a message indicating that Backup is completed click continue.
  7.  A restore page will show up with the backup file in it. The backup file can be then downloaded or used later to restore the course.

The created backup file can be used to restore the course content and settings later through the restore option under the course Settings.
