As part of Carleton’s regular review process, we conducted a survey of cuLearn users earlier this year to determine how well the tool has been meeting the university’s needs. This was the first phase of a regular learning management system (LMS) review that Carleton will be undertaking over the next two years.
Powered by the Moodle platform, cuLearn has been the university’s LMS for the past seven years. During this time, Carleton’s adoption and reliance on this system has grown significantly, not just in the delivery of online, blended and face-to-face classes, but for faculty and staff development and student support.
On Dec. 7, we will be hosting a town hall session from 2-4 p.m. in room 2017 Dunton Tower. This town hall will be the first of several significant consultations with users, specifically instructors, students, teaching assistants, staff and administrators using or depending on the LMS. It will be an active listening session designed to provide you with the opportunity to review the data gathered through the LMS survey as well as the roadmap for all phases of the review over the coming months and years.
Faculty, staff, TAs and students are all welcome to attend.
