On January 15th CMHC released the results of the October 2019 Rental Market Survey – this covered all cities in Canada. The Ottawa report reveals a marginal increase in vacancies (from 1.6% to 1.8%),but more alarming Ottawa recorded a dramatic increase in average rent levels. The average rent is up 8% from 2018, the largest increase in the country.
